History of CASA

It is no surprise that Child Advocates, Inc. has become a leader in the ongoing fight against child abuse.

  • Fourteen years ago with a small state grant we began training volunteers. Our first year we served three children.
  • This year our plan is to serve more than 400.
  • Our goal is to serve every abused child who needs us. Our challenge is to find the volunteers, resources, commitment and compassion to get us there.

Child Advocates, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization, providing court appointed special advocate services in Clackamas County. We are funded primarily by individual and business contributions, community organizations and foundation grants. We receive a portion of our funding from the Clackamas County Commission on Children and Families.

Your time or donation is needed--both make a real difference to the children we serve.

Our Mission

Provide specially trained volunteer child advocates for abused and neglected children who need safe and permanent homes.
