 With the shocking news coming from USDOJ that funding for the National CASA/GAL Association has been terminated, it is more important than ever that your state lawmakers hear your voice. State budget writers have the opportunity to support critical CASA programs by supporting two specific funding bills this year: HB 5002 and HB 3196.

Here is how you can help right now:

• Use the Legislator Lookup Tool to enter your address and identify your state Senator and Representative.

• Send your Senator and Representative an email or letter using our template (linked below), which describes the recent federal funding challenges and highlights the importance of HB 5002 and HB 3196.

• Call your legislator's listed office phone number and note your concerns about the ongoing setbacks at the federal level. Let them know their support for state funding is critical to your local program. It is fine to leave a voicemail or briefly speak with staff.
